Why Terrain?
Terrain is named for the ground beneath our feet - the steps we take every day and the work we do. Our name comes from getting into the weeds, feeling buried by tech debt, and getting stuck in the mud. We know the clunky workflows, the chronically missing documentation, the QBRs that are somehow always a scramble... We know how it feels to be on shaky ground, and how to stabilize it.
To be a good operator you have to know your terrain, and work within your environment to chart a clear path forward.
Our Founder
Alexis Wiggins-Jonathan has spent her career inside post-sales and customer success operations at scaling B2B SaaS companies, including Udemy and Surveymonkey. She’s been the renewals manager, struggling to get the info she needs, and has built infrastructure from the ground up. With over a decade of experience, she’s designed customer lifecycles, developed risk frameworks, defined the metrics and how they flow through the tech stack, and led cross-functional change management to make it all stick. She’s the person leaders turn to when they need honest feedback about what’s wrong.
Alexis’s career began in social services, where the stakes are higher and the resources scarce. Working directly with individuals and systems gave her the instincts she brings to business operations. She approaches every engagement with rigor, but also with a deep understanding of how change really happens, and the type of support people need to keep pace.
